Two new apprenticeship providers are now able to support independent fishmongers across England. Meat Ipswich and Crosby Management Training are gearing up to deliver fishmonger apprenticeships to high street and mobile fishmongers across England.
[NB: As of May 2023 Crosby Management Training are no longer supporting this apprenticeship.]
Two of the best butchery apprenticeship providers in the UK are working with Seafish to offer a similar high quality service to smaller fishmongers in the coming months.

The Level 2 Fishmonger Standard is ideal for independent fishmongers as it reflects the highest level of craft skills as demonstrated by fishmongers. Apprentices who have completed their programmes can gain automatic recognition by the Fishmongers Company Master Fishmonger Standard at the recognised tier.
