The Introduction to HACCP training course has been available as a remote (zoom) course to independent fishmongers since August 2020. The 4 hr course usually starts at 9:30am and finishes at 2pm followed by a 30 minute invigilated multiple-choice exam. Further details about the training course can be found below. Courses are delivered remotely via zoom and can easily be arranged upon demand.
This is a Level 1 qualification.
- Currently 50% funded by Seafish so that the cost per person is just £50.
- Learners require access to Zoom and a webcam to participate in the course and exam. This is available free of charge, and does not need to be installed as there is a web only app available.
- Successful learners receive a nationally recognised Introduction to HACCP qualification from Seafish and REHIS.

New for 2021 e-EHACCP
Added in 2021 is Elementary HACCP by eLearning. This online eLearning programme is in English with exams also available in Lithuanian, Polish and Portuguese. This is a level 2 qualification.
The programme is 50% funded by Seafish so costs only £25.00 per person. Trainees must first have a Level 2 or Elementary Food Hygiene qualification. The hygiene qualification is currently available free of charge from Seafish (online only).
